funny copper with the hailer
At the end of the Everton game, was making my way down the ramp towards the front of the Armoury Shop to meet an old mate of mine, when I see a copper with a hailer about to make a racket. When he pipes up, I think I hear this:
"WILL ALL LIVERTON FANS PLEASE MAKE THEIR WAY ONTO QUEENSLAND ROAD, WHERE YOU CAN BOARD YOUR COACHES".
Eh!? Did I hear right? I listen again.
"WILL ALL LIVERTON FANS PLEASE MAKE THEIR WAY ONTO QUEENSLAND ROAD, WHERE YOU CAN BOARD YOUR COACHES".
Gooners all around me are laughing, and so am I.
A small cluster (10-15 people) of Gunners have noticed, and are laughing as we walk by. As I walk past the policeman, I take a good look at him - he's got a glint in his eye, and his lady copper friend is laughing too.
Me, to him:
"Do you support Arsenal?"
Him, to me:
<nodding, with a cheeky smile>
Me, to him:
"That's funny, but aren't you asking for trouble?"
His lady colleague interjects:
"Yes, but they [the Everton fans] are mostly gone now."
This draws even more giggles from the other Gunners within earshot.
Funny copper with the hailer winks, and puts the hailer up to his mouth again:
"WILL ALL EVERTON FANS PLEASE MAKE THEIR WAY ONTO QUEENSLAND ROAD, WHERE YOU CAN BOARD YOUR COACHES".
Funny copper with a hailer.
